Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid



The Touareg Hybrid is Volkswagen's first production gas-electric hybrid model. The hybrid powertrain gives buyers a third motive choice in the Touareg family. 


Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid is an SUV that has a hybrid concept, this car is all new and is the first production hybrid electric vehicle from Volkswagen. This unique Hybrid uses a supercharged 3.0-liter, direct injection gasoline V6 is paired with an electric motor that significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions compared to replacing the previous V8 FSI model. 

The Touareg Hybrid is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and 47-hp electric motor for a combined power output of 380-hp. An 8-speed automatic puts the power to the ground through a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. Regenerative braking helps to recharge the battery, and the automatic start-stop system conserves fuel when the vehicle is stopped. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, power memory front seats, Bluetooth, heated front seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, and touch-screen navigation system. Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, six airbags, tire pressure monitoring, rain sensing wipers and front fog lights. 


 

When trying up at the roof, drivers and passengers will relish the new optional panoramic sunroof that could be a full 350% larger than the sunroof in the previous model. A ventilated, power release wind deflector eliminates turbulence and associated noise to assist ensure a quiet drive even when the sunroof is open. The sunroof is commonplace on the Hybrid trim.

Standard and located solely in the Touareg is Volkswagen’s new premium RNS850 bit screen radio-navigation system. It features an oversized eight-inch screen, with a DVD/CD player that has MP3 playback capabilities and Satellite/FM/AM stereo, together with a 60GB exhausting drive with 18GB of space out there to upload media. Located in the glovebox is access for iPod or auxiliary input, SD cards, and a DVD drive. The navigation system can show maps and directions in a 3D read, and highlights major landmarks to additional assist when traveling.
